Creative Insights: Alice In Hell
To celebrate our amazing Little Print Shop Of Horrors IV, we’re giving our fabulous fans an insight into the evil masterminds behind the art – a way for you to see how the artists were inspired to create their masterpieces and the thought process behind the horror!
Here’s what he had to say about his work: Alice In Hell
“I have always loved Alice in Wonderland, the characters, the craziness and the balance of darkness in a colourful world, so I thought it would be a good story to start with, but what if the ‘Wonderland’ had no wonder, just fear, and horror.
Alice may not make it back from this adventure.
The colours were fairly simply inspired. The fresh blue is straight from Alice’s dress in the Disney movie, and I just saw a great striking blow by having that alongside the hot orange, black for darkness and white for highlights. I enjoyed playing with the cards too, twisting the suits into something more halloween inspired.”
