From the moment you step out of the Ballerz® tunnel, you are immersed in the atmosphere of a Champions League game, with the roar of the crowd, big-screen replays and all goal highlights instantly ready to share with friends.

Our challenge was to create a thrilling website experience that would reflect the innovation Ballerz® offer, with a finely crafted website that empowers their marketing team with a flexible CMS and optimal paths to conversion for every type of customer– from football novice to pro.

Every player welcome

We worked closely with the marketing, operations and customer experience teams to get under the skin of what the business needed for each stage of the project; from initial launch and data capture; through ticket sales at per-launch; to their long term business objectives.

We looked at key competitors and other innovative brands to identify a website structure and user experience that supported these requirements and the innovative brand. This insight was used to develop comprehensive wireframes that supported all the customer journeys we had identified as being critical to success before moving into conceptual design.

Immersive web design

Design concepts took a mobile first approach to ensure that mobile was the primary focus from the outset and were presented as fully interactive Figma prototypes that fully conveyed the immersive experience we were looking to achieve with video and animations present throughout all design work.

Conceptual work was refined and approved before being rolled out in line with the wireframes and written content developed by our copywriter. A continual focus on a mobile first, immersive, and conversion optimised website was maintained to render the best possible website experience.

Building for success

We approached the website build in sprints, focussing first on high priority features which were released to support ticket sales, before supporting content that fully communicated the full Ballerz proposition.

WordPress was selected to offer the best possible end result for the project budget. Development balanced a creative approach with ensuring the best possible customer experience, marketing support, and complete flexibility in content management.

We implemented a number of bespoke integration points to their ticket partner SevenRooms, events partner DesignMyNight, and payment partner Stripe. With careful planning and execution to ensure all of these platforms worked effectively together.

Due to the complexity of these integrations a number of enhancement sprints have already been carried out in response to data seen and business changes which has given the Ballerz team a flexible and conversion optimised end-to-end solution for their business.

Evaluation and enhancement

We’ve continued to support Ballerz® with ongoing enhancements to further develop the website with regular reviews of website performance and business insights used to evolve and optimise the solution.

The website has attracted 31,000 visitors since launch with market leading engagement metrics. It has been a fundamental part of their marketing collateral as the new Ballerz® brand becomes established and grows.
