Little Print Shop of Horrors: Our 13th year was a thrilling success
£5,000 toward fighting food poverty in Manchester
Yes, that’s right. Together, we raised £5,000 for Humans MCR in this year’s Little Print Shop of Horrors charity art project. Our 13th year proved one of our most successful yet, and we couldn’t have done it without you.
We’re grateful for every purchase, sponsor donation and time spent by our artists and the Sparks. It was a real team effort and meant so much to our creative community and the people of our city.
We had over 2,000 visits to the Little Print Shop of Horrors website and over 3,500 engagements on our socials. For a small campaign, it has such a big heart.
Here are a few words from Lewey Hellewell, Founder of Humans MCR, about how the money will help our city:
“We are absolutely thrilled that Creative Spark’s Little Print Shop of Horrors project has raised an incredible £5,000. These funds will make a tremendous difference, allowing us to support those in our communities who have the least this Christmas and through the challenging winter months. Art has always had a place in highlighting the struggles of deprived communities and this project is a testament to the value of art and its lasting social impact. Thank you to all of the Sparks and collaborators for doing such an incredible job.”
Everyone’s talking about Little Print Shop of Horrors
We’re over the moon to see our charity project mentioned in ILoveManchester, Secret Manchester, The Manc and Manchester Wire. A big thank you to our PR partners, We Are Indigo, for their support.
Highlights for Little Print Shop
This year saw our first AI-generated poster, ‘Wednesday’ by Adam Richardson.
And it was a real ‘pinch me’ moment when our artists’ work was showcased in the iconic window at Fred Aldous in Manchester.
A very special event
We held a viewing event which brought together our friends from the agency, HumansMCR and some of our fantastic artists. We raised £850 in poster sales in just two hours and heard from the team at Humans MCR about how the campaign is helping their work this year.
Special thanks go to SEVEN BRO7HERS who hosted our event at their Brewhouse in Ancoats, and Saving Grace Events for their support in making it such a success.
