We are committed to delivering exceptional design solutions to our clients. Our team is our greatest asset, and we are now looking for a talented and experienced Senior Designer to join us on our exciting journey.
You will be working with a great bunch of creative designers – our Design Director will be your immediate line manager, and you will work closely with the wider studio, our Creative Director, as well as the rest of the Spark team.
We are a small team of 10-15 core Sparks, but grow as required by using our network of freelance trusted partners. We bring in the right people, for the right job at the right time.
The Role:
As a Senior Designer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the visual identity and aesthetic direction of our projects. You will lead a team of passionate designers, collaborating with various departments to ensure our creative output is of the highest standard. Your expertise will be crucial in driving forward our design vision and ensuring our work resonates with our target audience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working with the Design Director to manage the studio team, providing mentorship and guidance.
- Develop and execute an excellent level of innovative design concepts and creativity, across various mediums (digital, print, etc.).
- Collaborate with clients and internal stakeholders to understand project requirements and deliver compelling design solutions.
- Oversee the entire design process, from initial concept to final delivery.
- An ability to interpret written and verbal briefs from clients and colleagues and produce design solutions that communicate client messages with high visual impact.
- Ensure all design work aligns with brand guidelines and project objectives.
- Stay updated with the latest design trends, tools, and technologies.
- Present design proposals to clients and incorporate feedback as necessary.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring deadlines are met without compromising quality.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Senior Designer or in a similar role (minimum 6+ years hands-on experience as a designer)
- Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design projects, but especially in creating design work for brands that want to stand out.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design software.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong understanding of typography, colour theory, and layout design.
- Exceptional communication and presentation skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively and adapt to changing priorities.
- Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Arts, or a related field (preferred but not essential).
- Experience in 3D, motion design, AI (preferred but not essential).
