A Shopify upgrade that refused to blend in
Blendsmiths are makers of premium drink blends for the curious. From humble beginnings to prestigious retailers like Selfridges & Co, they knew it was time for a digital transformation. Their website needed to reflect their evolving brand journey – delivering an experience that ignites curiosity and drives conversions.

The theme of curiosity became our guiding principle. We collaborated with Blendsmiths to explore how this could shape the user experience, from intuitive navigation to storytelling copy and interactive design elements.
Blendsmiths' target audience consists of experience-driven consumers seeking premium, high-quality blends. Their market positioning is bold and independent, setting them apart from mass-market competitors. The primary objectives of this project were to enhance brand storytelling, improve user experience, and boost conversion rates. Through competitor analysis, we identified key opportunities to differentiate Blendsmiths by leveraging immersive storytelling and interactivity to create a more engaging customer journey.
Shopify theme that inspired creativity.
To help Blendsmiths achieve their goals, we developed a comprehensive strategy that focused on multiple areas. Our website UX strategy ensured a seamless and intuitive journey that guided users from discovery to purchase. We elevated the brand storytelling by crafting compelling copy and visuals that captured Blendsmiths’ unique voice. Additionally, we incorporated Shopify best practices to enhance e-commerce performance, ensuring better engagement and higher conversion rates. By combining these elements, we created a strategy that aligned with the brand’s vision while also delivering tangible business results.
We used Shopify’s ‘Shapes’ theme, leveraging its interactivity, animations, and parallax effects to create an engaging site without the cost of full custom development.

Refusing to ‘blend’ in.
To reflect Blendsmiths’ ‘Think Different’ philosophy, we carefully crafted design elements that brought their unique identity to life. A playful new typeface was introduced to enhance brand personality, while dynamic graphics and animations visually represented the concept of blending and flavour. Every aspect of the web experience was carefully considered, ensuring that copy and interactions remained true to the brand’s distinctive voice. This attention to detail resulted in a website that truly stands out in the competitive landscape while staying authentic to Blendsmiths’ ethos.
The product pages underwent a complete transformation, shifting from basic information to an inspiring showcase of ingredients, flavours, and versatility.
