The Little Printshop of Horrors: Where Art steps up for a Spine-Tingling Cause

The Little Printshop of Horrors: Where Art steps up for a Spine-Tingling Cause

Little Print Shop of Horrors

Now in its 12th year, this annual event ignites the passions of horror enthusiasts and art connoisseurs alike. What started as an internal initiative to bring together creative and non-creatives in the agency as a team building exercise has evolved to include designers from the Manchester creative scene, all competing for the coveted prize (this year cinema tickets & popcorn!) and to win the esteemed accolade for the bestselling poster, all in the name of raising funds for our chosen charity. In past years we’ve raised funds for Forever Manchester, Mustard Tree and Huntington’s Disease Association, raising over 20 thousand pounds to date.

Were delighted to be working Humans MCR – We Are Humans this year. Lewey Hellewell, Founder of Humans MCR commented to say “Humans MCR are delighted to be chosen by the innovative team at Creative Spark as their charity partner for the Little Printshop of Horrors project. This collaboration embodies unity, creativity, and a commitment to championing positive change within our communities. The project is as unique as it is spirited and proves that a fusion of art and empathy can foster a brighter future. The funds raised will be instrumental in fuelling our mission at Humans MCR to eradicate generational food poverty in Greater Manchester. Together, we are creating art, hope, resilience, and shared prosperity.”

In year 1, we released just 50 limited edition prints of each poster not knowing how popular the posters would be. A couple sold out overnight after a few publications got wind of the initiative so the next year we went bigger and each year its popularity has grown. With each new year comes a new theme, previous themes include Classic Horror, Twisted Disney, Classic Hitchcock, and 666. This year we our asking our Instagram followers to select the ‘best of the best’ posters from the archive which will be brought back for a limited run as well as 14 new entries. This years theme ‘Netflix & Kill – part II’, will see our internal teams joined by acclaimed artists and illustrators, including Andy Smith www.asmithillustration.com, Sara Janicka https://www.instagram.com/jani_dsgn/ on behalf of ‘Ahoy Studio’, James Poole www.instagram.com/mr_james_poole/, Pat Thomas [email protected], Jordan Yates studio-antigravity.com, Carl Regan @carlregan_design and Woody Woods mrwoodywoods.myportfolio.com. who have all brought their own unique and terrifying twist to their Netflix-inspired selection.
