Making light work of It

3D animation for CurrentBody LED devices

CurrentBody already had a solid content setup. Strong photography. Slick video. But they were curious whether 3D could offer anything new. They weren’t after gimmicks, just something that could add value without disrupting the look and feel they’d built. The brief was clear: if 3D was going to work, it had to feel like part of the brand. Subtle, elegant, and totally on point.

Our approach

Before we touched any 3D software, we immersed ourselves in their world. Grey backgrounds. Confident, directional lighting. A minimal tone that didn’t need to shout. It was a refined visual identity, and we knew our work had to match it.

This wasn’t about adding flash. It was about using craft and control to bring their products to life in a way that felt completely seamless.

Bringing it to life

We created two product animations. One for their LED Light Therapy Mask. One for their Hair Regrowth Helmet.

The mask needed care. White plastic in 3D can easily look cheap. So we built a soft, matte texture with just the right amount of surface detail to keep it feeling tactile and premium. Motion was slow and deliberate. Light revealed the product gradually, using their signature gobo style. We even used a cereal bowl to prototype the camera paths.

The helmet followed the same principles. Clean forms, minimal texture, light doing all the storytelling. We played up the red LEDs, using the layered shell of the design to cast dramatic shafts and reflections. It gave us a look that was hard to capture in photography, but felt totally aligned with their existing assets.

Why it worked

We kept the animation calm and considered. No spinning. No flares. Just movement with intent. Lighting carried the weight, and everything felt like it belonged.

We obsessed over the details. The materials. The transitions. The balance. And we worked closely with the CurrentBody team at every stage—from early moodboards to whitecard tests and final renders.

The result

The finished animations feel like they were shot in the same space as the campaign photography, even though nothing was filmed at all. The visuals sit confidently across digital channels, with room to layer on typography and graphic overlays where needed.

It’s a set of assets that feel as good as they look. Technical. Elegant. Effortless.
