Placement Diary: Hakim Shujaee
We’ve just said goodbye to Hakim who’s been spending time with us on placement. Here’s what he had to say on his time with us.
After arranging an interview with Andy, where I showed and explained some of my work, I was offered 3 weeks work placement at Creative Spark. Looking through some of their work and their amazing list of clients I expected it to be a very difficult 3 weeks. When I started though I was surprised at how calm and relaxed everyone was whilst at the same time producing brilliant work. During my 3 weeks I was involved in all aspects of design from print to web. The team at Creative Spark are also amongst the friendliest people you could meet.
With each project you are to come up with some ideas and concepts. What surprised me most about this was how much freedom and opportunity they gave you to build on your ideas. Every idea I came up with was listened to and given the chance to produce something from it. In my last week I was even given the choice of which project I’d like to work on to feature in my portfolio (I picked Web Design 😀 )
Overall my experience at Creative Spark has been priceless. I’ve gained so much knowledge in a space of 3 weeks and my time there has inspired me to continue learning as much as I can about the design industry. I wish to thank everyone at Creative Spark for giving me the opportunity to work with them. But most of all for their kindness and being so welcoming.
Thank you, Hakim
