Client: Goodgreef
From the Sparkive: 2002 (unofficial)

The challenge
Goodgreef launched in 2000, but the energy behind it had been building for a while. Barry and Ben were pulling something together that felt bigger than just another club night. The original name, Totally Mashed, didn’t quite hit the mark.
They needed something with more presence. A brand that could go toe-to-toe with the likes of Cream and Gatecrasher, and still feel fresh years down the line..

Our approach
At the time, we were playing with a tongue-in-cheek T-shirt project called Goodgreef. Big name. Bold graphic. A head logo full of personality. Ben saw it and said, “What the f*ck is that? I love it.” Hours later, the domain was registered and the name stuck.
We teamed up for the ride. Over the next few years we created flyers, posters and promo artwork month after month, often with tight deadlines and tighter budgets. The Goodgreef head became a staple. Every version was a chance to do something new while keeping the brand instantly recognisable.

The result
The identity hasn’t changed since day one. The original logo, colour palette and wordmark are all still in play. The brand didn’t just survive. It grew—alongside the club, the community and everything around it.
Fans got it tattooed. Flyers were kept like souvenirs. The brand became part of the experience.
It was one of Creative Spark’s first big projects, and it played a part in shaping who we are today. It still stands out as one of the greats.
